Item description from seller

335 Pages Indexed. A 1961 Bonanza reprint of a 1955 copyright. Written by the authority here is the history, selection, repair, care, loading, and use of this historic frontiersman's friend --- the one-hand firearm. Dust jacket is taped to endpapers and has in inked 12.95/3.95 price on front flap. Ex Libris dated March 30, 1972 pasted on front endpaper. Dust jacket shows wear to cover edges and spine. Back of jacket has two closed tears about 2 inches apart with minor creasing and edge chipping. Tight, bright book with white pages. Interior is near faultless. The author documents in this invaluable reference work his lifetime experiences and findings on this historic weapon. Elmer Keith, recognized as the world expert on guns, reports on new developments in arms and ammunition with a variety of splendid photographs of old and rare guns along with current American models. Included in his remarks is a treasury of absorbing information about marksmen with numerous illustrations of trick shooting, quick draws, hip-shooting and police training. More than fifty years of experience and experimentation in handguns with Indian fighters, vigilantes and frontier lawmen makes Elmer Keith a specialist in his field. As the Cleveland Plain Dealer puts it, Other books have been written on the revolver --- other books will be written-but Sixguns By Keith is and will remain the final authority. Large heavy book that may incur additional charges for Priority Shipping to some locations. Scans available. A book from the Jack McK. Pardee Collection. Mr. Pardee was a collector of Americana who focused on frontier and natural history, hunting, wildlife, and firearms and is noted not only for his book selections but for his careful handling and storage. Most of his collection had faultless interior pages. E-mail for more information regarding the Pardee collection.…
