Skinny

Methuen. UK. 1965. Hardback with dj. First edition. 'Skinny' by Robert Burch. This book has a handsome dustjacket and looks fairly fresh - bright and clean illustration to front of 'Skinny' the boy from a small town in Georgia, USA. Many of the author's books were set during the Great Depression. A handsome book overall. A couple of small, light coffee(?) stains to the back and price clipped but overall, an attractive, fairly sharp looking dj. Contents: name to front otherwise clean and unmarked. Light age spots to bottom of text block. A young boy works in a small town hotel until he is sent to an orphanage. Set in 1930's Georgia, as many of Robert Burch's books were. 'Skinny' by Robert Burch. NOT exlib as so many of this author's first editions are and packed and sent with care.
