This very good+ copy of book and dust jacket are marred only by price-clipping on the dj and a slight darkening of the lower left corner of the book's front cover. First edition stated. The author won the National Book Award for children even though he is one of the great absurdist novelists and short story writers and the illustrations are Victorian parodies.
