Compiled in 1966 but based upon articles drawn originally from the 1900-1930 period, with stories, plays, and verse by James Joyce, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Eugene O'Neill, Ezra Pound, D.H. Lawrence, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Dorothy Parker, Robinson Jeffers, Damon Runyon, Anatole France, O. Henry and others. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound in big, tall, quarto-sized hardcover format, generally clean, unmarked interior, minimal rubbing to extremities. Light gray linien weave cloth covers, beautiful gilt stamped illustration to front cover, sharp and distinct gilt lettering to spine. Gift inscription at first free endpaper, to Charles ("Chic") Goldschmid, from "Bobby" (Robert R. Allen?, his business partner and friend). Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. xxv, [1], 3-262 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
