The third book in the author's Nature of Man series. Ardery's book on how evolutionary traits influence human and animal behavior. Ardrey aruges that a diversity in phenotypes leads to inequality, and that behavior is not learned but influenced by evolutionary conditions. A source of inspiration for Kubrick's 1968 film, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Ardrey's theories in this book are no longer taken seriously by the scientific community. Ardrey however, remains a significant figure in the fields of sociology and anthropology from his support for the African Genesis theory and his investigations into the origins of humans. A very near Fine book in a Near Fine dust jacket with a few hints of edge wear and mild yellowing to the spine panel and to the front panel.
