This is a Near Fine first edition copy of one of the most influential books of sociology in the 20th century. This book was a huge influence on SDS co-founder Tom Hayden while he was a student at the University of Michigan. This very bright octavo, 8.5 x 5.75-inch very bright copy is covered in shiny black cloth and stamped in blue and white lettering on the spine with a blue illustration on the front cover. There is very minor wear to the tips, otherwise Fine. The Very Good condition dust jacket has a few minor chips at the top of the back cover and a 1.25-inch closed tear at the top with a small removal of color at the bottom of the tear. The jacket, which has the original $6.00 price on the front flap, has some chipping at the bottom of the spine. The jacket and the book's front cover were designed by Yaboslave, who also photographed the author portrait on the back cover. Seller Inventory # 070323-1
