This book is in near fine condition. There is slight wear on the edges but no tears or stains. The jacket is in very good condition and has small tears on the top and bottom edges. The book investigates the books of T. E. Pratt and Edmonds and Lee which are considered to be the combined fountainhead of modern, soft-hackled fly literature. All their patterns are listed and described and their fishing techniques explained. There are 12 hand-colored plates from their books. New soft-hackled fly patterns by the author and others are also included together with color photos of all the feathers and materials required. Proceeds from the sale of this book benefit environmental restoration and education.
