The Soldier's Art, Anthony Powell, Heinemann, 1966, First Edition, First Impression Describes as one of the best novels about the British experience in the Second World War, this is the eighth novel in the author's twelve-volume series A Dance to the Music of Time, and the second book in the war trilogy. In very good condition, the binding is tight with a slight lean, the boards clean apart from a faint white mark to the back board and the lettering on the spine bright. There are crease marks to the corners of the front board and minimal shelf wear to the bottom edge of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from tears. There is a neat owners name to the front end paper and mark to the top edge. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in good condition with wear to all the corners, wear to the top and bottom edges of the front cover, small nicks and a tear to the top edge of the spine, loss to the spine, small nicks to the bottom edge of the spine and wear to the top and bottom edges of the darkened back cover.
