Collection of songs (with vocal scores) collected by the left-wing activist, Frida Stewart (1910-1996), and pub. for The Basque Children's Committee in aid of refugees from the Spanish Civil War. Not dated (First Edn., circa late 1930s); metal comb spine; beige card covers; titling/illus. printed in black to front cover; [iv]pp. + 20 leaves; illus. bw. drawings. Foreword by the Duchess of Atholl, Katharine Marjory Stewart-Murray (1874-1960). Metal comb spine slightly crushed at top/tail, but complete/intact; front cover partially detaching from comb spine; rear cover creased at bottom corner; covers very soiled; p.[i] lightly nicked at fore-edge; sporadic slight (occasionally heavy) foxing/soiling (including paint splashes) to pages, but text fresh; illustrations have been coloured (quite artistically/neatly) using watercolour paint.
