First German language edition of Shakespeare's sonnets, translated by nineteenth-century philologist Karl Lachmann. Of the 154 sonnets, numbers 134, 136, and 151 have been omitted. . Boards and spine ends gently rubbed and edgeworn; endleaves refreshed; some pages reinforced with archival tape along gutters. Very good.
