Ruth Tomalin (1919-2012) was an Irish-born poet, journalist, children?s author and novelist. During the Second World War she served in the Women's Land Army, and following the war worked as a reporter for local newspapers. All of her books reflected her love of wildlife, many of which were written for younger audiences. All Souls was her first novel for adults.

Hardcover. 219pp. Original bright green covers with gilt titles to spine, light wear to boards, foxing to page edges, pastedown and endpapers sunned, previous owners inscription and offsetting to front endpaper from an inserted newspaper clip associated with the publication of the book, dust jacket is price clipped and sunned, with some small tears along the edges and quite a large loss at the bottom of the spine, internally bright and clean, binding strong. Very good in a good jacket.
