'Starting with Watercolour : A Pocket How To Do It' by Rowland Hilder, who was at one stage President of the Royal Institute of Painters on Water Colours. A smart little copy in glazed, pictorial boards. Boards are bright and clean. Tiny bits of crush to bottom and top of spine but hard to see. Contents are clean and unmarked. A few colour images and lots of black and white images and photos. Rowland Hilder was a British landscape artist and book illustrator. Born in the USA, his British father returned to England, to Kent where author's talent was discovered. He married Edith Blenkiron, a botanical illustrator and for ten years served as President of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours. He was awarded an OBE in 1986.
