Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1944. First Edition, First Printing. Very Good+/Very Good+. Clean First Edition in original unclipped dust jacket. Red cloth boards with black lettering on cover and spine. No bumping or wear. Very slight darkening to bottom board edges. Binding is tight and square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean. Illustrated endpapers are clean, save for one small stray black crayon mark (1") at lower margin of front free endpaper. Date 1944 below publisher name on title page. Illustrated by F. Strobel. 333 pages. Dust jacket is not price clipped (3.00 on front inside flap), has tiny chips at top spine edge (max. 1/4"), a few tiny surface nicks.
