Original edition of this collection of government records from the early history of North Carolina. This volume includes records from 1777 and 1778 with many documents relating to North Carolina in the American Revolution and Revolutionary war. This copy was previously owned by J.W. Atwater, a North Carolina State Senator and U.S. Congressman of the 1890s. His name is written in pencil on the front endpaper. Blue cloth, 880 pages. Has a significant break in front hinge but otherwise the binding is general firm. A previous owner bookplate (not J.W. Atwater on the front pastedown page. Due to the weight of this volume, shipping outside the U.S. will require additional funds for postage.
