First Edition. Foreword by Thomas L. Stokes. Illustrated with photos from the original production. This play, a marital comedy with a political background, premiered on Broadway in November of 1946 and ran for 765 performances. It received the 1946 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The 1948 film version by Frank Capra starred Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn. Fine in dustjacket with one-inch closed tear at upper spine fold, else near fine with light toning to white lettering on spine panel.
