Statistics is used in two senses, singular and plural. In the singular, it concerns with the whole subject of statistics, as a branch of knowledge. In the plural sense, it relates to the numerical facts, data gathered systematically with some definite object in view. Thus, Statistics is the science, which deals with the collection, analysis and interpretation of data.
