21.5 x 12.5 cm. Octavo. (ii) 597 (1) pages. Rebound in modern grey cloth, new endpapers. This is the first legal book and 2nd book of any kind printed in Iowa. Piece missing front title page , ~ 5 x 5 cm at largest. "City Council" written on title page in large format. Piece of tape and a name written on last page. Some spotting to the title page and table of contents. Some light toning/staining in areas which do not obscure text. Collection of Iowa laws on various subjects; some examples include: Militia, Gaming, insane Persons, Water Crafts.
