Sabin notes that at the end of the Yale copy in the handwriting of Leonard Wales, class of 1807 is a note that this was supposedly written by David Daggett but that more probably Mr. Sampson the editor of the "Connecticut Courant" was the author. The Library of Congress attributes it to Daggett. The author describes the better qualities of those of the government and exposes those who are criticizing. Sabin 15859; S & S 8284.
