210pp. 1st edition. Edited with an Introduction by Theodore Spencer. Black cloth covered boards with gilt lettering on spine. Foxing to top page edge, fore edge and lower page edges. Wear to cloth at tail of spine. Crease to cloth and shelf wear to top of spine and also to corners. Cloth binding flaw at top front spine hinge. Light foxing to end pages due to being printed on War Economy paper - but altogether pages are cleaner than expected. Dirt mark on p46 (printer's ink flaw?). Tiny indent mark to lower margin on pp110-125. Ink spot to lower edge of p195. Previous owner's signature on front page down dated 31.7.44. Price clipped dust jacket with red lettering on face and on sun darkened spine. Illustration by NI Cannon. Loss to top and tail of spine. Loss also to corners of dust jacket. Dusty rear panel. All now protected in archival wraps.

Store description

The Bookshop at Beech Cottage trades exclusively via the internet. I acquire most of my stock through a network of suppliers based in southern England. My particular interests are illustrated Private Press and modern Poetry. I also have a collection of Prospectuses and similar ephemera. I am careful to select only the better quality items for the Bookshop that are within my speciality and pass on those that are outside my remit. I am a former librarian and read for pleasure - as many booksellers do! I take great care of my books while they are staying at Beech Cottage and would only ask my customers that they do likewise.
