Add to basketOriginal screenplay in stiff purple spring-action binder, typewritten on A4 paper. This is playwright David Rabe's own teleplay adaptation his "Sticks and Bones", part of the writer's trilogy of black comedies dealing with the Vietnam War. Produced by the New York Shakespeare Festival, the CBS TV movie was directed by Robert Downey Sr. and aired in 1973. Its subject matter was so controversial at the time that half of CBS' network affiliates refused to air the program. This screenplay includes four different possible sequences for the final moments of the film. Title label to binder slightly chipped, not affecting text. Spine moderately sunned, with similar toning to edges of covers as well as to top edge of page 59. Foot of spine cracked 1" but cardboard beneath remains solidly intact. Pages lightly toned throughotu, else in very good condition. A unique object in the history of antiwar film and theater.
