About the Author

Author/illustrator/singer/songwriter Diane White-Crane manages a llama trekking business in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, during the summer months. She personally hikes with two llamas by the name of Dudley and Sammy, and she also authored a best-selling hiking guidebook for that section of Colorado, "Hiking the 'Boat." Duley and Sammy are the characters in her delightful book about llamas, as well as the topics of her songs in her album, SONGS FOR LLAMA LOVERS, which was nominated for a 1999 WAMMIE by the Washington Area Music Association, "Best Children's Recording."
