An educational primer on Nature & our planet Earth, designed for elementary school students in the late 19th century (title page is missing, but Foreword is dated 1899). Focus is on the Pacific Coast & Western geography, in 200 pages, with pen-and-ink sketches & black-and-white photos throughout. Each of the 28 chapters has vocabulary words at end with phonetic pronunciation guides. Unknown edition, c. 1899. Small hardcover 16mo (5.25" x 6.75") has green-brown cloth over boards stamped with nature design & lettering in darker brown/green to front cover. Condition is Good: aside from stamps from school district in front matter, pages are clean & unmarked. Binding secure, though loosening at frontispiece.
