Copy II of additional 30 copies 'not for sale' and numbered in Roman numerals separate from the Limited edition run of 1000 for sale to members of the Folio Society. Hardcover. Near fine condition. Illustrated by Niroot Puttapipat. This limited Folio Society edition was produced in an edition of 1,000 copies, each containing a signed illustration by the artist. The volume includes an introduction by Michael Morpurgo. Quarter bound in vellum with vellum tips and paper-covered boards, lavishly decorated in gilt. The top edge is gilt, and the book is printed on Cordier wove paper. Illustrated throughout with fourteen colour plates, decorative borders, numerous black-and-white illustrations, and the signed plate by Niroot Puttapipat. Housed in a cloth-bound clamshell box with a leather spine label. The box measures approximately 36 × 28 × 6 cm. A superb copy, showing only a few very minor marks to the top of the box; otherwise near fine. The book itself is firmly bound and appears unread. Carefully packed for secure shipment.
