Add to basketHurricane Katrina, Superstorm Sandy?we know major storms by name, and this is the novel that started it all. American historian George Rippey Stewart wrote this best selling account of a fictional monster storm in 1941. By 1953, the US began giving major storms female names (male names were added in 1978.) This copy of the first edition has blue cloth boards with slight shelf wear. Spine is somewhat faded. Pages are clean and unmarked, with nice three-color maps of the storm?s track on interior covers. Very good condition.
