An unusually bright, well-preserved copy of the 1887 1st edition. Clean and easily Near Fine in its chocolate-brown cloth, with brilliant gilt-design (of a Native American warrior on the hunt) and titling to the front panel and further highly-decorative gilt-design (of a tomahawk, a bow and an ornamental headdress) along the spine. Internally clean as could be as well, with no writing or markings to speak of. Lavishly-illustrated in line-drawings (by Rickman at the frontispiece) and engravings throughout.
