Add to basketThe Victoria Publishing Company, New York. 1950. Softcover/Trade Wraps. First Edition (NAP). Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for having the "Army Biography" page filled out by a PVT Wood in 1953. Book Condition: Good; light wear to corners; staples have rust; text has indentations from compression on book. No DJ. Pictorial card stock wraps. Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is securely saddle stapled; text is secure in binding. Non-paginated 24mo oblong. This book was blessed by the Department of the Army in the Introduction for capturing the humor of the first few weeks of service during Basic Training. The 41 pen and ink drawings take the reader from pre-induction through garrison training to field training in a very humorous vein. A clean very presentable copy that probably belonged to a soldier headed to Korea.
