Oblong 12mo. Illustrated with fourteen color plates separated by leaves of text all folding out accordion style. Original green publisher's wallet-style cloth case stamped in dark blue, upper cover with pictorial label within a ruled border, silver design mimicking a clasp and lip, and endpapers printed in white. Light toning and wear, with some creasing to the fore-edge of the final panel. The cloth is toned, with some faint staining and general shelfwear. First edition, second state with New York placed before London with the publisher's name printed on the rear cover.
