This unique volume is the first children's book written by the great French-Romanian avant-guarde playwright, Ionesco. This first edition copy is in Near Mint/As New condition, as is its dust jacket, which has the original $4.50 price on flap, indicating first edition. The publisher, Harlin Quist, produced more than 60 books between 1966 and 1984, many of which featured bold illustrations with psychedelic imagery. Quist, himself travelled extensively throughout Europe and the U.S. to visit bookstores to convince them to carry his special, unique books--each, a masterpiece of art and design.
