The scarce first edition of this souvenir of Port Sunlight from the early twentieth century with illustrations. First edition of The Story of Port Sunlight Its Work and Its People by the Lever Brothers Limited in the original publisher's paper wraps.An interesting souvenir booklet on the development of the Lever Brothers factory and the town of Port Sunlight.Port Sunlight is a model village in Merseyside. It was built by Lever Brothers to accomodate workers in their soap factory, the name of the town deriving from their popular soap 'Sunlight'.Densely illustrated throughout and includes a page of colour advertisements to the rear.A scarce edition with only two held in libraries. Undated, dated through Jisc and the indication on page 44 regarding 'the late Lord Leverhulme', who died in 1925. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, smart. There is some slight wear to the extremities and slight fading to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright an clean with the occasional spot. Very Good. Seller Inventory # 844W16
