Presentation copy, with publisher's slip laid in. Large 8vo, 276pp. Illustrated with tissue-guarded frontispiece and numerous plates throughout. Hardcover, bound in original brown cloth with dark blue leather title-label to spine. Gilt stamped title, gilt top edges, other edges untrimmed. A handsome production, printed on fine heavy paper. In very good condition. Binding and hinges are intact and firm; contents are crisp, clean, and unmarked. Fine engraved armorial bookplate to front pastedown, otherwise no signs of prior ownership. Very minor rubbing to extremities. A lovely copy overall.
