Six issues of The Strand Magazine bound in plain navy blue cloth - the binding is a little smaller than the original blue illustrated cloth and the pages have been cut a little smaller also. Contains XIV The Adventure of the Cardboard Box, XV The Adventure of the Yellow Face, XVI The Adventure of the Stockbroker's Clerk, XVII The Adventure of the "Gloria Scott," XVIII The Adventure of the Musgrave Ritual, XIX The Adventure of the Reigate Square. Also includes "Author! Author!" by E.W. Hornung and VII to XII of Zig-Zags at the Zoo by Arthur Morrison. The boards have a little rubbing and bumping to the corners and there is a one inch tear in the cloth at the top of the spine next to the rear panel. Gaps showing at the front and rear hinges where the webbing is exposed but the binding is secure. Pages 283-286 are a little loose and the pages protrude a little but they are not detached. Some browning to the page edges. Previous owner's name to front free endpaper. Browning to the endpapers and quite heavy yellow spotting to the pages at the front and rear of the book. The spotting does affect a few pages through the book. These are generally fairly light and scattered however. First printing. Heavy item so there will be an additional postage charge for overseas orders.…

Terms of sale
Prices do not include postage and packing. Payment must be received before books are despatched. Cheques or Postal Orders should be made payable to Raymond Tait, and must be in UK pounds sterling (GBP). Please do not send money until we confirm that the book is available. If you are not satisfied with the description of a book, it may be returned within 30 days with prior notice, in the same condition as received, for a full refund. If you have particular requirements regarding the condition of books, e.g. concerns about odour, please contact me before ordering the book (if there is a strong odour this will generally be mentioned in the description but for some older books with a variety of signs of age this may not be mentioned specifically). Books will be reserved for a maximum of 7 days. Shipping terms
Orders usually ship within 2 business days.
UK Orders: Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 lb, or 1 kg. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. If you are buying a small paperback or another small book then the postage and packing will generally be reduced by £1.50 and I will reduce the charge before processing your order.
European Orders: Shipping costs are based on books weighing 800g. For European orders I have only quoted a price for air mail. Not all European countries have been added so your shipping may appear high. Please note that I will adjust the charge I make if this is the case and postage to Europe will be lower than the rest of the world. If you are buying a small paperback or another small book then the postage and packing will generally be reduced by £1.50 and I will reduce the charge before processing your order.
Other overseas orders: shipping costs are based on books weighing 800g. I will generally use whatever method is covered by the standard postage charge but if you specifically wish to have it sent surface or airmail or anything else please ask and I will amend the charge accordingly. Please only choose the cheaper surface mail option if you do not mind waiting - the suggested upper time limit for this form of delivery is 60 days and it can take that long - and sometimes a bit longer. If therefore you wish to receive the book in 2-3 weeks then please opt for the more expensive postage option which will guarantee airmail delivery. If you are buying a small paperback or another small book then the postage and packing will generally be reduced by £1.50 and I will reduce the charge before processing your order.
Books are usually wrapped in bubblewrap and then in cardboard. Please ask if you have any particular requirements.
