The inaugural edition of the famous Strand Magazine, featuring a short story by Arthur Conan Doyle called "The Voice of Science". Dense edition with plenty of illustrations. Fair Condition. Pictorial blue cloth. Gilt edges. Decorated end papers. Staining to rear end paper. Pages are lightly tanned with marking. Binding is firm. Notable wear to boards with bumping and fraying to corners. Marking to boards with some dark staining to rear board. Spine has notable wear with small splits to joint and clear fraying. Repairs made by previous owner to spine.
