Measures approx. 7.75" x 4.75" (20cm x 12cm). Prelims and list of subscribers (viii) + 214pp. Three plates; being the monument to Lord Hill, St. Chad's Church, and Shrewsbury Abbey. Lacks fold-out town plan. Otherwise complete. Boards rubbed, scuffed and marked; with both front and rear board hinges cracked, though holding by their twine. Ditto gutters at prelims. Partial loss to spine covering. 1816 gift inscription to front free endpaper, adjacent to small loss at upper fore corner. Prelims showing old insect damage at lower fore corners (see pics above). Occasional partially loose leaves at lower twine. Foxing and general tanning throughout, with marginal marking and the odd closed edge tear and some corner creasing here and there. One or two leaves have marginal corner loss. Remains an interesting early survivor, despite the aforementioned faults. Please see photos for further detail.
