About this Item
The first edition of this novel by Jonathan Gash. The first UK edition of this controversial fictionalised account of the life of a prostitute in London's West End. 'Streetwalker' was published anonymously, but was later attributed to Jonathan Gash (the pseudonym of John Grant). Grant is best known for being the author of the 'Lovejoy' series, which is about an antiques dealer and faker. Some of his other novels are 'The Judas Pair', 'Moonspender', 'Ten Word Game', and 'Faces in the Pool'. In a black cloth binding with original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, generally smart. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, and with a few marks and light cocking to the spine. Dustwrapper has some loss and darkening to the spine, with a few closed tears and some handling marks also. Front hinge is a little strained. Faint ink stamp to front free-endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound although strained in places. Pages are bright, though with a few patches of foxing. Good. Seller Inventory # MOD6-D-15
