Add to basketBound in grey blue paper over boards with black (or dark dark blue) cloth backstrip; with gilt lettering on upper board and on spine; gilt top edge. Rear board is creased along the top; minor spotting of endpapers and a few spots of foxing on fore edge of pages. Endpapers are sound. Dust jaclket, while being essentially complete, has a long tear along front spine fold which ends up progressing horizontally across spine panel, there are other small chips, tears and creases along the edges and the spine panel is darkened. Subjects discussed include "The Horatian Model n English Verse", "The Poetry of George Meredith", "The Poetry of Thomas Hardy", "Coleridge", etc. 324 pages with index plus a selectiion from the catalogue of G, P. Putnam's Sons bound in at the rear.
