First edition 1828. Two Volume Set. Ex Bath Public Reference library with their bookplate inside the front covers. One small blind stamp on the title page and last page of each volume. A few page edges in volume one have been poorly opened, small chips and tears. Not affecting the text and only small. Some light marking throughout. Contemporary half leather and marbled paper covered boards with raised bands and red titling labels. Leather and boards heavily rubbed and the top of the spine of volume two very slightly split. Corners rubbed and frayed. Volume one has 304 pages and volume two has 311 pages. Still a very good solid set in a contemporary binding. Scarce first edition.
