About this Item

Comprising the volume of 1909 with the three volumes of additions, published in 1923, 1938 and 1955. Black (Volumes I, II and IV) or blue (Volume III) cloth-covered boards, gilt titles to spine, gilt motif to front board. Condition: Volume I has split to front hinge, about half way along the length of the volume, and another towards the base; boards rubbed and bumped, binding slack, tanning to half-title, some light foxing until after the title page. The other three volumes are sound, with rubbing/bumping etc to boards roughly correlating with age; internally clean. Volume IV is from Canterbury Public Library, with their label to front paste down, while the others appear to have been private copies. Weight before packing over 5kg; extra postage will be needed for destinations outside the UK. Seller Inventory # 6343

If your book order is heavier than this, I may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. NOTE that I charge the same shipping cost to all EU countries, but the ABE system makes this rather difficult to set up; if you are ordering from an EU country not on the shipping costs list and so are charged the general International postage rate, I will refund the difference when processing your order. TAX on orders from the EU: our recent departure from the EU has left muddle and confusion for sellers and customers alike. For items costing more than 22 Euros VAT will have to be paid by the customer on receipt of the order, and possibly a handling fee levied by your postal service.
