There is no marked date of publication in this book, however a poem written in 1943 is referred to near the end of the book and there is a gift inscription (not from the author) on the frontispage dated "June 1944". The book was printed according to War Economy standards. The general condition of the book is good. The cover, however, is in sad repair. It is foxed, stained, worn. The corners have shelf depressions. The covers are much marked. The spine is strong and secure with some wear to the head and foot. The contents are in good condition despite some initial foxing.
