First edition.Very scarce.This charming children's book is profusely illustrated with full colour vibrant vignettes and full page artwork by artists E. Lupton and Westrup, who created this work. Due to the book being printed on 'Untearable' paper the work is in very good condition for a book that would have been well read by young children.In the publisher's original illustrated gilt cloth.Undated. Dated by publisher's address where they were situated from only 1871 to 1890. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with the odd minor mark with bumping and slight rubbing to the extremities. The odd slight minor mark to the endpapers only.
