A very scarce report surveying India between 1918 and 1919, prepared under the direction of the Surveyor General of India, with eight maps, five of which are folding. Very scarce work.Bound in the publisher's original quarter cloth with paper-covered boards. These fascinating historical documents provide insight into the makeup of India during the early twentieth century, with topographical information, general remarks on administration, trigonometrical surveys, and much more. Prepared under the direction of the Surveyor General of India, Colonel C. H. D. Ryder.This collection is comprised of 'Survey of India. General Report 1918-19 From 1st October 1918 to 30th September 1919'. Published in 1920. Illustrated with eight maps, five of which are folding. Collated, complete. Bound in the publisher's original quarter cloth with paper-covered boards. Externally, worn, with rubbing to boards extremities and a little fraying to spine ends. Small marks and tide marks to boards. Internally, binding is tender, with some pages disbound. Light edge wear and the odd tear to pages, with the odd small worming hole.
