In green cloth with gold engraved lettering and design to the front board and spine.White wrote the history of Hampstead in order to fulfil the gaps in its local history which had been abandoned by other writers. The book took over 30 years to write as it was dormant for some time during White's busy life.Contains 67 monochrome illustrations. Collated, complete. In original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine resulting in some wear. The extremities are also slightly bumped. The back board is slightly marked.
