First edition of the first dictionary of Swedish dialect, based on the collections of Benzelius, sm. 4to, pp. [12], 200; text in double column; some wear along the spine, but a nice copy in original drab paper wrappers. This is Ihre's first major work; he would later assemble, with Sven Hof and Abraham Sahlstedt, the Glossarium Suiogothicum (1769), a work highly praised by Jamieson, and of which Boucher said: "One of the best dictionaries of any language in Europe; it is a masterpiece of criticism and erudition.".
