About this Item
Russell, Raymond, and Rosalie Parker, editors. TARTARUS PRESS: A CHRISTMAS MISCELLANY. North Yorkshire, England: Tartarus, 2000. First Edition. Fine oversized wraps. A lovely fanzine of things weird and literary. Essays on Sarban, Robert Aickman, Edward Heron-Allen, Alain-Fournier, John Gawsworth, and other material, including the first appearance of one of Mark Valentine's occult detective tales of The Connoisseur. This magazine was issued more or less as a substitute for a Christmas card celebrating their tenth year of existence, and distributed mainly to regular customers of this specialty press publisher of weird tales. It was never offered for sale and in consequence is one of the harder items to locate for completist collectors of this amazing firm. Seller Inventory # 1789
