Dark blue hardcover binding clean, square and tight. Interior clean clean and bright. 236 pages. DJ has some wrinkles and shelfwear along top edge, not price-clipped. As usual, the Blue Ribbon Stables and the Byrne family are in trouble. Son Harry is cynical of his father's financial ability. Sister Diana' s heart is broken when they sell the horse Comedy to meet pressing bills. But then Dermot brings home another horse - one with an odd deformity - convinced it is a thoroughbred, Dermot is excited with possibilities.
