First edition. 8vo. Gray cloth, titles stamped in brown on the spine, [16], 589 pp., frontispiece [map], foreword, illustrated, portraits, epilogue, bibliography. A well-researched historical novel based on the legendary career of cattleman John Chisum, with much on Billy the Kid and the Lincoln County War. Chisum was a prominent cattleman who played a significant role in the development of the cattle trade in the American West. It covers Chisum's ventures and challenges as he established his ranches along the New Mexico and Texas border during the late 19th century. A near fine, bright copy in a lightly rubbed, price-clipped dust jacket with light wear to the spine and spine ends. This book is becoming difficult to find.

We accept checks and all major credit cards. Prices are NET to all. PA residents
must add 6% sales tax.
Shipping charges within the continental limits of the U.S. are $9.50 for the
first book and $3.00 per each additional book, if shipped Media Mail. Should you prefer to ship via
either UPS or Priority Mail, mailing prices increase. All over-sized books and all shipments outside the U.S. will be charged actual shipping, insurance, and handling costs. All parcels
shall be shipped insured or with signature required.
All items may be returned within 7 days of receipt with prior notification. We
request any items for return be sent by their original shipping route, be well
packaged and fully insured.
