FIRST EDITION circa 1925, 245 x 180 mm, 9¾ x 7 inches, pink and white patterned cloth, colour printed with illustrations of children playing outdoor games, paper title labels to upper cover and spine, 144 pages. Pretty coloured frontispiece (unsigned), coloured vignette on title page (by Agnes Richardson, unsigned), 8 other colour plates by Charles Robinson, Louis Wain, Joyce Mercer (2), E. Dorothy Rees and Honor Appleton etc. Full page illustrations in black and white with yellow by Charles Robinson (2), Grace Lodge and others, text illustrations by H.B. Neilson and H.G.C. Marsh Lambert. First item: The Little Sister by Laurence Alma Tadema, other authors include Ethel Talbot and Katharine Tynan. There is a 2 page poem on Robin Hood by G.B. Hughes with a colour plate and a 1 page poem about a Golly. Spine slightly darkened with a tiny nick to head and tail, upper cover slightly dusty and very slightly bowed, 4 items coloured by a child, 1 messily, otherwise contents very nice. A sweet annual for very young children, quite scarce. A very good plus copy. Adley and Lofts mention only 2 years, 1956 and 1957, not listed in Alan Clark, but the British Library Catalogue lists it from 1922-1935.
