La historia igual que todas las especialidades acad�micas es un recurso metodol�gico ideado para aislar una fracci�n de la realidad y facilitar de esta manera su an�lisis pero, para que recuperar su utilidad como herramienta necesaria para intervenir sobre los procesos que afectan la vida de las personas y su entorno, debe de ponerse en relaci�n con las dem�s disciplinas acad�micas que confirman las ciencias, las humanidades y las artes. Solo as� adquirir� su capacidad descriptiva, anal�tica y predictiva, transform�ndose en herramienta de acci�n pol�tica, social y cultural. Adem�s de incluir ponencias presentadas en la emisi�n 2014 del seminario, se invit� a otros acad�micos cuya l�nea de trabajo estuviera centrada en la humanidades, pues este campo del conocimiento tambi�n apoya la formaci�n integral en los futuros profesionistas. Pensamos que los trabajos aqu� reunidos abonan en ambas direcciones: la interdisciplinariedad y la formaci�n humanista, por lo menos contribuyen a generar el ambiente multidisciplinar en el que todo estudiante debe formarse y en el que todo investigador y docente debe trabajar. Por otra parte, el seminario tambi�n contribuye a fortalecer nuestra relaci�n con la UNAM-Managua que organiz� la segunda edici�n del mismo seminario en mayo 2013, universidad con la que la UNICACH tiene un convenio de colaboraci�n acad�mica y con la que aspiramos a realizar intercambio de estudiantes, docentes e investigadores, adem�s de trabajar en proyectos conjuntos tanto de docencia como de investigaci�n y difusi�n. Nicaragua y Chiapas conforman parte del territorio del hogar ancestral de los pueblos otomangues, de los que nuestro m�ticos y extintos antepasados chiapanecas formaron parte, constituyendo esto un pretexto adicional para hermanarnos.
