Original publisher's brown cloth spines over green cloth boards, lettered gilt on spines and front covers. Ninety-one photogravure. These books are very heavy, and delivery costs may be a consideration especially outside Britain. Colophon reads: Turner and Ruskin, edition de luxe of this edition there have been printed, for England and America, one hundred and sixty copies, each containing two sets of the plates, one on India and the other on ordinary paper. This copy is no. 79. A few neat pencilled notes in the text, contemporary with the book and by someone evidently a Ruskin scholar and admirer of Turner. Neat name on front endpaper of one, Barry C. Amiel with slight rubbing, some fraying at spine ends and corners slightly rubbed and bumped, otherwise a sound, used, very good copy.
