Lowndes: "An extremely useful book." Both engraved title pages and portraits laid down (with some loss at the corners), a good copy of this standard work. Later embossed half-calf (rubbed at joints, corners and edges bumped), leather title labels on spine (but lacking leather volume number labels, leaving imprint in calf), marbled boards (rubbed) and endpapers.
