Take Me Back to Dear Old Blighty: First World War Though the Eyes of the Heraldic China Manufacturers

TAKE ME BACK TO DEAR OLD BLIGHTY The First World War Through the Eyes of the Heraldic China Manufacturers. Robert Southall. Milestone Publications, Horndean. 1982 First edition ISBN 0903852144 160pp Illustrated Hardback. This mint unread copy is bound in cloth covered boards with bright gilt titling to the spine, tight, white, bright and square. There is a small gift inscription to the f.e.p. The unclipped dust wrapper is also in mint condition. This book is for anyone who is interested in social history. It gives an insight into WW1 from a very different view showing how china producers whose trade was based on the home based holiday souvenirs had to adapt to the War to continue trading. It still seems strange why anybody directly involved in the war would want to buy china models of war paraphernalia . Very we'll written and researched. Crested china collectors would find this book a must if they are collecting World War One pieces. Ref KK1.
